Paper Title
Land Use Land Cover and Vegetation Mapping of Wayanad District in Kerala using Geospatial Technology

Abstract
Abstract - Land Use Land Cover (LULC) is an application of classification problem that distinguishes the land-space used by mankind for different purposes on the surface of earth. Study of LULC have become a primary importance in the development of forest ecosystem. The objective of this study is to classify and analyze the LULC and vegetation mapping over the Wayanad district in Kerala corresponding to different supervised classification methods using ArcGIS and ERDAS. Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) is also used to determine different LULC categories. The current study intimates the significance of classification techniques and algorithms along with respect to NDVI index to understand the betterment of the changes that have occurred in the study region.
