Abstract : Abstract - One of the hot issues in the research era of cricket is to detect whether a bowling action is legal or illegal because of the complex movement of bowling arm, and it is extremely difficult for the umpire to declare an action illegal in the ongoing match. Most of the research work is based on Inertial Sensors used to examine the movement of the bowler’s arm by moving hand in different rotation and extensive laboratory-based testing is done which is time taken and it is not done in real-time. To improve the method of testing machine learning algorithms such as support vector machine, k-nearest neighbour can also be used with the sensor so that detection can be done in near real-time. In our proposed approach we will try to detect illegal action at the run time using image processing and machine learning algorithm. Keywords – Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion
