Abstract : Data is the key in today‘s world. Anything that needs to be done successfully at any stage or at any level, it‘s the data that gives valuable insights and helps understand the task at hand from within. Therefore, storing and sharing data safely so that it does not fall into wrong hands and ensuring that it doesn‘t lose its value is important. Over the years there have been many data storage systems that have their own pros and cons and one such data storage technology is Blockchain. Blockchain technology is a new age emerging technology for secured data storage is often used in the crypto currency. Although there are plenty of other fields that have a vast scope of blockchain for their advancement from traditional records maintenance and providing a secure data storage system. One such field of interest is the field of healthcare. With new infections and viruses causing health problems all over the globe in the last five years, the data related to these viruses, their causes, treatments and the records of patients is very vast and crucial. Blockchain has multiple features that make it a stand out choice for data storage and sharing, one of which is immutability, which ensures that the data once added to blockchain cannot be modified or deleted. Hence, Blockchain Based Secure Data Sharing for Healthcare eliminates different difficulties and issues in the traditional system.
