Abstract : Wireless networks are very widely used. Being mobile it is used in many fields. One of the most important applications of wireless networks is Mobile Ad hoc NETwork (MANET) in which all the nodes work as both transmitter and receiver. In this paper, we have proposed a system which can detect as well as prevent the malicious attacks. The system is named as Enhanced Adaptive ACKnowledgment (EAACK). EAACK gives a better malicious-behavior-detection than the traditional approaches. In existing system digital signature is used, in this paper to reduce network overhead, caused by digital signature we are using RSA-a public key cryptography and routing protocol AODV. Compared to contemporary approaches EAACK demonstrates higher malicious behavior detection rates in certain circumstances while does not greatly affect the network performance. Keywords—Enhanced Adaptive ACKnowledgment (EAACK), Mobile Adhoc NETwork (MANET), Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR),Rivest Shamir Adleman (RSA),Routing Overhead (ROH).
